Night Rating - HELI
The Helicopter Night Rating takes flying helicopters to the next level.
Learn the skills and techniques to make you shine bright in the hours of darkness.
The course consists of 10 hours of night flight, learning about Heliport Lighting, cockpit lighting, pre-flight inspections, psychological effects, and the visual cues of flying at night. Students will also have the ability to perform cross country night flights, approaches, departures and learn/perform the required simulated emergencies as part of the rating.
Also required to convert to a FAA Foreign Licence.
- Must hold a current Private or Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence (including current medical)
- 10 hours of Instrument Time (Pilots may use previously acquired Instrument time)
- Minimum 5 hours dual night hours
- Minimum 5 hours solo night hours
