Commercial Pilot Licence - HELI

JoinAir’s Commercial Pilot Licence program is a full Transport Canada–approved course designed to take you from student to industry‑ready pilot. Now is an excellent time to begin your training.
You’ll complete 100 hours of advanced flight training, preparing you for real‑world commercial helicopter operations. Training includes hovering, approaches, departures, confined areas, emergency procedures, and more—supported by comprehensive ground school in air law, meteorology, engines, navigation, helicopter aerodynamics, and general aviation knowledge.
This program gives you the skills, confidence, and professional foundation required to start your career as a Commercial Helicopter Pilot in Canada — and gives you the opportunity to train with one of the most well‑known helicopter pilots in British Columbia.

Admission Requirements

Must be graduated from high school or be at least 18 years of age

Category 1 Canadian Aviation Medical Exam (Find an examiner near you)

Schweizer 300 CBI
100 HRS Dual Flight Training $720.00/hr: $72,000.00
Aircraft Fuel Appx (100hrs) $93.00/hr: $9,300.00
Ground School (one time)on-line: $450.00
Text books / Supplies: $430.00
Licensing, Permits and Testing Fees: $2,750.00

Non-Refundable Administration Fee ($350 / Intl Students $500).

PSTAR, Radio Licence, Student Pilot Permit, Endorsements ($50-$100 each).
A/C Flight Test 1.5 hrs ($1,110)
Transport Canada Exam ($200) Flight Test Examiner Fee ($850), Licence Issuance Fee ($300).
Individual briefings and instruction fees as required ($100/hour).

Prices are based on Transport Canada minimum hours of flight training.

Prices are subject to change at any time. The amount of training required to pass the course is based on each individual student's abilities and skills. More training may be required for different students.
