Commercial Pilot Licence - HELI

The Commercial Pilot Licence course at JoinAir Helicopters is a full Transport Canada Approved program and now is a great time to start your training.

100 hours of complex flight training to get you ready for the real world of working as a Commercial Helicopter Pilot.

Learn a variety of flight exercises from: hovering, approaches, departures, confined areas, emergency procedures, along with ground school knowledge in air law, meteorology, engines, navigation, helicopter physics, general aviation knowledge and everything else it takes to become a Commercial Helicopter Pilot here in Canada.

Admission Requirements

Must be graduated from high school or be at least 19 years of age
Category 1 Canadian Aviation Medical Exam (Find an examiner near you)
English Proficiency Test if required

Program Requirements

A minimum of 100 hours flight training (including 55 Dual hours and 35 Solo hours)
A minimum of 80 hours of ground school
60% or higher on the Transport Canada (CPHEL) written exam
Pass the Commercial Flight Test

  Finished my fixed wing flight training at this Flight Training Unit after several years of hiatus. The instructors and staff are consummate professionals, and brought me back up to speed for my written and flight exams with ease.

I've also done about an hour of rotary wing instruction with Craig Joiner, who was extremely skilled in both flying and instruction.

It was an excellent experience, Craig is one of the best in the business, with way more real world flying experience than other guys I looked at training with.
